Overview
The Northern Circuit Route is the newest and longest trail on Mount Kilimanjaro, offering the highest success rate due to its excellent acclimatization profile. This 10-day route circles the mountain’s northern slopes — far away from the crowds — giving hikers a quiet, scenic, and immersive experience.
Starting from the Lemosho Gate on the western side, you’ll traverse lush rainforest, heather, moorland, and alpine desert before approaching the summit from the north. The route offers 360-degree views of Kilimanjaro and neighboring Kenya, making it the most beautiful and least-traveled path to Uhuru Peak (5,895m).

Itinerary
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guide for a pre-climb briefing, equipment check, and rest before your adventure begins.

After registration at Londorossi Gate, begin hiking through lush rainforest filled with wildlife and towering trees.

Ascend gradually out of the forest into heather and moorland. Enjoy your first views of Kibo Peak.
